Following its renovation by Ricardo Bofill, the Arsenal houses one of the most beautiful concert halls in Europe with its excellent accoustics and sumptuous beech and sycamore wood marquetry. The hall is favoured by the National Orchestra of Lorraine and also hosts prestigious exhibitions.
The Metz Métropole Opéra-Théâtre, a temple to the art of opera, is a real jewel and has staged shows since 1752.
Other sites from Metz's history, the Metz Métropole La Cour d’Or Museums, the Trinitaires, Saint-Pierre-aux-Nonnains, the Templiers Chapel and the Maison Rabelais, offer up their authentic decor to a variety of artistic representations.
In a more recent context, the Arènes sports arena accessible to all spectators, the Bernard-Marie Koltès Theatre or the Braun hall contribute to the vast choice of concert halls in Metz.

It is set to become an architectural illustration for the combination of cultures it represents, as it presents and exhibits the different forms of artistic expression from the 20th century: photography, cinema, videos…
