Mirabelles in syrup
Preparation time: according to the quantity
Cooking time: 20 minutes
To prepare:
Make the syrup using 1 litre of water + 500 g. sugar (preferably granulated)
- Remove the stones from the mirabelles
- Bring the syrup to a strong boil
- Drop in all the Mirabelles at once
- Reduce the heat as soon as it starts to boil and keep at simmering point
- Test with a sharp knife: the fruit should still be slightly firm when cooked
- Leave to cool in the syrup
- Preserve in the syrup or use for tarts or fruit in syrup
